This coach trip will lead you to the 1000-year-old charming town of Meissen and the wellknown Meissen porcelain manufactory. First we will stop at the porcelain manufactory. The excursion will proceed with a guided city walk through the old town, culminating at the late gothic Albrechtsburg Castle, and Meissen Cathedral on the citadel hill (no sightseeing inside, church can be visited against admission).
After a break for individual lunch we will return to Dresden, stopping on the way at Moritzburg Palace. It was originally built as a hunting lodge for the Duke of Saxony in th the 16th century, but was rebuilt in the baroque style about 1730.
